Desert

Dromedaries “Meharees”, that recalls the legendary caravans. The camel riding may lead you to experience the enjoyable promenade on the dunes with wind ripples, and such images are immortalized by Paris-Dakar rallies which passes in the vast north of the country every year through Majabat el Koubra.

Fauna and Flora

Thanks to the position centered between the desert and the ocean, the Maghreb and Africa, the Sahel and Sahara, Mauritania is a reservation of variety of precious value animals and plants.

THE ARGUIN PARK

The Aurguin Park (more than 2,000,000 birds) was classified by UNESCO as world Heritage. The park is a home of huge variety of birds and animals: dolphins, rare birds, seldom fish and so on.

The Diawling National Park is also a site that deserves to be visited. This park is known for its botanic richness diversity, several animal species as hundreds of aquatic birds , it is also a reproduction place for different kinds of fish.
